Comprehensive Botox & Dermal Filler Course Description
This comprehensive hands-on training course is designed to equip licensed medical professionals (RN, NP, PA, MD, DO, DDS) with the essential skills, techniques, and confidence to safely and effectively administer both neuromodulators (Botox) and dermal fillers for aesthetic purposes. The course is a one day hands-on class that combines in-depth anatomical education, safety protocols, injection techniques, and live model practice. There is a second day to follow Dr. Reina.
1. Foundational Anatomy & Facial Assessment
• Overview of facial anatomy: muscles, vasculature, fat pads, and bone structure
• How aging affects different facial layers
• Key danger zones (e.g., infraorbital artery, facial artery)
• Facial assessment techniques to determine individualized treatment plans
2. Botox (Neuromodulators) Training
• Mechanism of action: how botulinum toxin relaxes muscle activity
• Indications: glabella (frown lines), crow’s feet, forehead lines, brow lift, gummy smile, masseter slimming, hyperhidrosis
• Reconstitution & dosing techniques
• Safe injection depths and patterns
• Preventing and managing complications (e.g., ptosis, asymmetry)
• Live model injections for hands-on practice
3. Dermal Fillers Training
• Overview of HA fillers and other filler types
• Rheology and how to choose the right filler based on treatment area
